Iskandar Mizal Mahmood was appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of the Malaysian Biotechnology Corporation Sdn Bhd (BiotechCorp) in May 2005.
Iskandar brings into BiotechCorp an array of expertise in investment, strategic planning, finance, corporate financing and research. His experience encompasses hands-on strategic and operational leadership, as well as extensive business and transactional experience.
Prior to his appointment in BiotechCorp, he was the Chief Executive Officer of the leading integrated venture capital solutions provider for the high technology, the Malaysian Technology Development Corporation (MTDC) from October 2003 to May 2005. From 1999 to 2003, he was the General Manager of Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad responsible for various portfolio including strategic planning, investor relations, business development, corporate finance and finance.
Iskandar started his career with Arthur Andersen & Co in 1989 and moved on to serve several financial institutions, including Bumiputera Merchant Bankers Berhad and Commerce International Merchant Bankers Berhad Group.
Iskandar graduated from Boston University, Massachusetts with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration (Accountancy). |
