Marko Mäenpää born 1973 in Turku has background in physics and medical physics from the University of Turku. He set up his first IT-company 1999 with his fellow students and partners from telecommunication industry. He made a choice between biology and physics when starting studies at the physics department but he kept his strong emphasis towards biology and medical sciences. For this reason he was active in collecting team of professionals for the new service company and 2003 he founded Genolyze together with 6 other partners from different areas of bioinformatics. |
